Starting early May 2025, Qantas will launch new nonstop service between Melbourne and Honolulu. To mark the new route launch, the carrier is offering 50,000 discounted seats across the Americas.
On Tuesday (September 3, 2024), Qantas announced the launch of new direct service between Melbourne and Honolulu from early May 2025. The route will operate three times weekly with an Airbus A330, complementing existing service between Sydney and Honolulu with Qantas and Jetstar, which collectively operate eight flights weekly. In conjunction with the new Melbourne-Honolulu route launch, Jetstar will discontinue their twice-weekly Boeing 787 Dreamliner service between Melbourne and Honolulu on April 30, 2025.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Qantas International’s CEO, Cam Wallace, said,
“We are thrilled to continue to enhance our network in America with the launch of a new route from Melbourne to Honolulu, bringing a new, tropical destination to our Melbourne customers. Our new service ensures continued connectivity for Melbournians to Hawaii, while enabling Jetstar to redeploy its 787 aircraft to other destinations and long-haul routes.”
Along with the new route announcement, Qantas ha launched a 7-day North and South America ‘Red Tail Sale’, offering over 50,000 discounted seats across their extensive network. Return Economy fares on over 30 routes are on sale from $1,049, including Sydney and Brisbane to Los Angeles ($1,199), Sydney-Vancouver ($1,599), Melbourne-Honolulu ($1,049), and Melbourne-Dallas ($1,699).
