Porter Airlines will launch new service from Ottawa to Boston, New York-Newark, Quebec City and Thunder Bay starting March 27, 2023. Porter will become the only airline offering year-round direct service from Ottawa to Boston, Quebec City and Thunder Bay.
On Tuesday (December 14, 2022) Porter Airlines announced the launch of four new routes from Ottawa International Airport. Starting March 27, 2023, the carrier will offer daily service to Boston (BOS), double daily service to New York-Newark (EWR), daily service to Quebec City (YQB) and twice daily service to Thunder Bay (YQT). With the new routes, Porter will become the only airline offering year-round service from Ottawa to Boston, Quebec City and Thunder Bay. The new routes will be operated with a 78-seat De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ President, Michael Deluce, said,
“Ottawa was our first destination when we launched in 2006, and it has always been a critical location for Porter throughout our history. The network expansion in Ottawa shows our commitment to the Ottawa-Gatineau region and its people. We expect our presence in Ottawa will continue growing.”
Also commenting on Partner’s Ottawa expansion, Ottawa International Airport’s President and CEO, Mark Laroche, said,

The new routes double Porter’s footprint in Ottawa, complementing existing service to Fredericton, Halifax, Moncton and Toronto City. Additionally, Porter will launch service between Toronto Pearson and Ottawa with a new state-of-the-art Embraer E195-E2 jet from February 2023.
