Porter Airlines Inaugurates New Direct Service Between Ottawa and Hamilton

Porter Airlines has today announced the launch of new, exclusive nonstop service between Ottawa and Hamilton. The route will now operate twice daily with a 78-seat De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400.

On Monday (June 22, 2026), Porter Airlines announced the inauguration of service between Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) today, offering travelers a new direct option between the nation’s capital and the heart of Southern Ontario’s Golden Horseshoe region. Porter is now the only airline operating nonstop between Ottawa and Hamilton, with twice-daily service on the 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft. The new route also opens seamless connections via Ottawa to Atlantic Canada, with onward service to Charlottetown, Fredericton and Moncton.
In Monday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ VP – Network Planning and Reporting, Andrew Pierce, said,
