Porter Airlines Celebrates Inaugural Flight Between Toronto and Puerto Vallarta

Porter Airlines launched their inaugural flight between Toronto and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Friday (November 14th). The seasonal route will operate three times weekly, increasing to five times weekly from December 14th.

On Friday (November 14, 2025), Porter Airlines announced the launch of their inaugural flight between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR), Mexico. The new seasonal service to Puerto Vallarta starts with three weekly roundtrip flights, increasing to five times weekly from December 14, 2025. Direct service from Hamilton and Ottawa to Puerto Vallarta will also launch in December. All flights will be operated with a 132-seat Embraer E195-E2, and guests will enjoy free, fast Wi-Fi, complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, and premium Canadian snacks.
In Friday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ VP – Network Planning and Reporting, Andrew Pierce, said,
“Launching our inaugural flight to Puerto Vallarta further expands Porter’s presence in Mexico and fulfills a longstanding demand from Canadian travellers. We are excited to offer our elevated economy experience on this popular route, and believe passengers will appreciate the genuine care and hospitality that only Porter provides.”
Also commenting on Porter’s new Puerto Vallarta service, Toronto Pearson International Airport’s Interim Chief Commercial Officer, Kurush Minocher, said,
“We are excited to see Porter Airlines expand its selection of international destinations by offering service to Puerto Vallarta. We know many passengers are looking to fly to sunny destinations during the winter season, and this service will provide more choice for our travellers.”
Puerto Vallarta Airport’s Director, Omar Torres Grajeda, added,

This inaugural flight is part of Porter’s extensive winter schedule to fun and sun destinations across Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Florida, Arizona, and California. The network also complements flights from Porter’s joint venture partner Air Transat, offering even more choice for destinations, travel dates, and flexible bookings.
