Airbus has today announced that Philippine Airlines has taken delivery of their first Airbus A350-1000, becoming the 10th airline worldwide to operate the largest version of the type.

On Monday (December 22, 2025), Airbus announced that Philippine Airlines has taken delivery of their first Airbus A350-1000, becoming the world’s 10th airline to operate the largest member of the A350 Family. The carrier’s new A350 is configured in a three-class layout with 382 seats. The A350-1000’s advanced efficiency will enable Philippine Airlines to expand their transpacific network with direct services to major destinations in North America. This delivery is the first of nine A350-1000s that Philippine Airlines will receive as part of their fleet expansion program. The new aircraft joins the carrier’s existing A350-900 fleet.
The Airbus A350’s design combines state-of-the-art technologies and aerodynamics, delivering unmatched operational efficiency and passenger comfort. With new generation engines and the use of lightweight materials, the aircraft offers a 25 percent reduction in fuel burn, operating costs and CO₂ emissions, compared to previous generation competitor aircraft. The A350 also features the comfortable and spacious Airspace cabin, with wide seats, high ceilings and ambient lighting designed to create a relaxing atmosphere.
Like all Airbus aircraft, the A350 aircraft can already operate with up to 50 percent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Airbus plans to have their aircraft up to 100 percent SAF capable by 2030. As of November 30, 2025, the A350 Family had won nearly 1,500 orders from 66 customers worldwide.
