Peach to Resume Service Between Osaka and Seoul From August 28, 2022

After nearly two and a half years, Peach will resume service between Osaka (Kansai) and Seoul (Incheon) starting August 28, 2022. The route will operate six times weekly on all days except Wednesdays.

On Tuesday (June 28, 2022), Peach Aviation announced the resumption of service between Osaka (Kansai) and Seoul (Incheon) for the first time since March 9, 2020. From August 28, 2022 the route will be operated six times weekly on all days except Wednesday. On April 8, 2021, Peach suspended all international flights due to the pandemic and will resume international flights for the first time in around 16 months, once again becoming a ‘bridge to Asia.’ Since the launch of operations, Peach has served approximately 13 million passengers on international routes, including around five million passengers on routes between Japan and Korea.

In Tuesday’s announcment, Peach Aviation’s CEO, Takeaki Mori, said,


“Thank you for your patience, Peach’s international flights are back! Peach’s international flights have been suspended for a long time due to the Corona disaster, but Peach will gradually resume flights starting with this route, which was Peach's first international flight. Peach will continue to provide easy, low-fare air travel as a bridge between Asia and Japan and Korea. Peach will continue to expand its international network in order to attract more international visitors to the 2025 Osaka World Expo by resuming international flights. We look forward to the further growth of international exchange between people in Japan and Korea.”

Peach Aviation Limited (Peach) commenced operations out of Osaka-Kansai in March 1st, 2012, and currently operates 33 domestic routes and is resuming international service with a fleet of 33 aircraft. In addition to their base at Osaka (Kansai Airport), the carrier maintains bases at Sapporo (New Chitose Airport), Sendai Airport, Tokyo (Narita Airport), Fukuoka Airport, Chubu Airport and Naha Airport. The airline hopes to become the leading low-cost carrier (LCC) in Asia with plans to expand their network from the Tokyo metro area and Osaka-Kansai. Peach Aviation Limited is owned by ANA Holdings Inc. (77.9%), INCJ, Ltd. (15.1%) and First Eastern Aviation Holdings Limited (7.0%).
