On Tuesday (June 30, 2026), Delta Air Lines announced the opening of Phase 1 of their second Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).  Located on the Mezzanine Level of Terminal 2, the intimate 4,000-square-foot space has seating for 75 guests.  Phase 2 of this second Lounge renovation is scheduled to be completed in 2028.  Additionally, Delta will add an 11,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club to Terminal 2, which is scheduled to open in 2027. These investments bring Delta’s global network to 60 lounges worldwide, the most expansive lounge portfolio of any U.S. airline.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Delta’s VP – Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience, Megan Humphreys, said,

“This investment remains congruent to our strategy of elevating the premium experience both at LAX and across our global network.  With demand for premium travel continuing to rise and our global footprint expanding, we’re thoughtfully looking at every square foot we have — designing every detail with intention and to align with the Delta One experience our customers deserve.”

Each Delta One Lounge is unique, and thoughtfully designed to deliver a bespoke experience, providing Delta One guests with choice and curated offerings in each city and space they visit. The Delta One Lounge at Terminal 2 is a quiet and distinct space, differing from the larger Terminal 3 Delta One Lounge.  Its focus will be on all things culinary, delivering consistency in the a la carte Delta One dining experience guests are accustomed to in Terminal 3.

The newest Delta One Lounge at LAX boasts expansive windows, offering views of the airfield and filling the intimate space with natural light.  Artwork fills the lounge from seven Los Angeles-based creators, bringing a sense of authenticity and connection with the city’s culture.  Amenities include three showers, four cabana-style bathrooms and a premium bar. Throughout the Lounge, guests can stay powered and productive with portable monitors and wireless chargers.  During Phase Two, the entire space will be renovated, crafting a new Delta One experience in line with Delta’s other Lounges.  A thoughtfully curated culinary program for both T2 and T3 Lounges has been designed to deliver an elevated dining experience complete with local flair.

Speaking on the LAX lounge dining experience experience, Delta’s Culinary Director, Michael Rouleau, said,

“Our menu incorporates farm-fresh ingredients year-round, drawing inspiration and delectable produce from California’s rich agricultural landscape.  When combined these rich ingredients create dishes that are both vibrant and grounded in the beauty of California.”

Delta One guests enjoy table service dining from every seat, with selections from a regularly rotating menu of elevated dishes.  Highlights include lamb bolognese with house-made lumache pasta, hamachi crudo featuring fish flown in daily from Japan, and a crowd favorite, the classic French onion soup.  For breakfast, the Lounge offers a range of options from acai bowls to huevos rancheros, alongside locally inspired and fresh daily pastries and small-batch, copper-pot jams delivered each morning from the beloved East Hollywood restaurant Sqirl.

Guests can also enjoy a full premium bar, with signature drinks like the ‘Island Sapphire,’ a funky blue beverage inspired by Delta’s LAX to Honolulu International Airport (HNL) route.  Beyond the bar, guests can indulge with fresh juices like the Vitality Shot (a blend of coconut, turmeric and black pepper), smoothies, such as the cacao pea protein smoothie, coffee from Santa Cruz-based roastery, Verve, tea and more.

As Los Angeles International Airport’s leading global carrier, Delta operates 151 peak-day departures to 50 destinations, powered by a growing international network built for leisure and business travelers.  New nonstop service to Hong Kong and Chicago O’Hare as well as upcoming service to Vancouver (from November 21st) and Newark (starting April 2027), strengthen Delta’s global connectivity from LAX to important markets around the world.  Delta’s ongoing investments in premium spaces, including the Delta One Lounge and incoming Delta Sky Club, further elevate the journey in the lead up to the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
