Oman Air’s Signature Iftar Service and Meal Boxes Return for Ramadan

Oman Air has brought their signature Iftar service and meal boxes on select flights to meet the dietary needs of guests during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The Iftar boxes are available in all cabins and are adorned with distinctive Ramadan-themed visuals.

On Sunday (April 18, 2021), Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, announced the return of their signature Iftar service and meal boxes on select flights to meet the dietary needs of guests during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The Iftar boxes are available in all cabin classes and are adorned with distinctive Ramadan-themed visuals and a Mubarak logo, extending best wishes to all guests. This year, Oman Air’s Iftar boxes feature slices of fresh seasonal fruits and fruit bites, an assortment of finger sandwiches, dates and traditional maamoul, vegetables, hummus, mixed nuts and a traditional laban drink, offering a healthy and convenient way for Muslim guests to break their fast.


In Sunday’s announcement, Oman Air’s Acting Vice President – Guest Experience & Branding, Eng. Hashim Al-Breiki, said,

“Oman is recognized around the world for its openness and authentic hospitality, and this is especially true during the month of Ramadan. Our Oman Air signature Ramadan service with nutritious Iftar meal boxes and select Ramadan-themed in-flight programming is a gesture of consideration at this special time of year. As an airline, we remain committed to catering to the needs of all our guests and I personally extend my best wishes for health and happiness to all those observing Ramadan around the world—Ramadan Mubarak.”


Ramadan is an important month of religious observation during which Oman Air is committed to showcasing their Middle Eastern hospitality to all guests. Muslim guests will also enjoy Ramadan-themed programming, which will run alongside the carrier’s renowned inflight entertainment (IFE) offering. For non-Muslim guests, full dining options will be available during Ramadan. In order to ensure the health and well-being of all guests, all food and beverage will continue to be served in bento-style boxes to minimize contact between guests and crew.
