From April 2023, Norwegian Air Shuttle will launch new service from Stockholm Skavsta Airport to Malaga and Alicante in Spain, as well as from Växjö Småland Airport to Malaga.

On Thursday (December 8, 2022), Norwegian Air Shuttle announced the launch of service from two additional Swedish Airports to popular destinations in Spain from April 2023. Starting April 1st, 2023, the carrier will launch service from Stockholm Skavsta Airport (NYO) to Alicante (ALC), with service to Malaga (AGP) starting on April 2, 2023. Flights to both destinations will operate twice weekly, with Alicante flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and Malaga flights on Wednesdays and Sundays. Norwegian will also launch new service between Växjö Småland Airport (VXO) and Malaga (AGP) with one weekly flight on Saturdays starting April 1st, 2023.
In today’s announcement Norwegian’s EVP – Network, Pricing & Optimization, Magnus Thome Maursund, said,
“We are happy to be able to launch direct flights to Spain from two airports in Sweden that we have not operated before. With the new direct routes, it will be possible for even more travelers in Sweden to be able to fly to the Spanish sunny coast. We look forward to welcoming travelers on board these new routes in our modern and fuel-efficient aircraft.”
Norwegian operates approximately 60 routes to, from and within Sweden, and with the launch of new service from Stockholm Skavsta and Växjö Småland airports, now serves six Swedish Airports, including Stockholm Arlanda, Umeå, Luleå, Kiruna, Stockholm Skavsta, Växjö Småland and Visby (summer seasonal).
