Norse Atlantic Airways Celebrates Inaugural Direct Flight From Athens to New York-JFK

Norse Atlantic Airways is today celebrating the launch of their inaugural nonstop flight between Athens, Greece and New York-JFK.  For summer 2024, the route will now operate up to five times weekly with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

On Friday (May 31, 2024), Norse Atlantic Airways announced the launch of their inaugural flight between Athens, Greece and New York-JFK.  Norse will operate the new route up to five times per week for the summer season, with one-way Economy fares from €239 and Norse Premium fares from €458, including all taxes and fees. 


In Friday’s announcement, Norse Atlantic Airways’ Founder and CEO, Bjørn Tore Larsen, said,

Norse Atlantic’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners are configured with Economy and Premium cabins, and customers can choose between Light, Classic and Flextra fares.  Light fares represent the best value, while Flextra fares include the maximum baggage allowance, two meal services and an enhanced airport and onboard experience and added ticket flexibility.  Each seat is equipped with a state-of-the art inflight entertainment (IFE) experience, and Premium cabin seats feature a generous 43-inch seat pitch and a comfortable 12-inch recline. 


Founded in March 2021 by major shareholder and CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen, Norse Atlantic Airways offers affordable transatlantic and European flights.  The airline’s first flight between Oslo and the U.S. departed on June 14, 2022.  The company’s head office is located in Arendal, Norway, and Norse has a second office in London.  Norse has a fleet of 15 modern, fuel-efficient Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.  The carrier offers service to  New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, Cape Town, Bangkok, Miami, Oslo, Athens, London, Berlin, Rome, Paris and Athens.
