Norse Atlantic Airways Appoints Kristin Berthelsen as Deputy CEO

Norse Atlantic Airways has today announced the appointment of Kristin Berthelsen as Deputy CEO. Ms. Berthelsen has been a member of Norse Atlantic’s senior management since 2021, serving most recently as Chief of Staff and Culture Officer.

On Wednesday (July 30, 2025), Norse Atlantic Airways announced the appointment of Kristin Berthelsen as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Berthelsen has been a member of the carrier’s senior management team since 2021, serving most recently as Chief of Staff and Culture Officer. Over the past few years, she has played a key role in establishing Norse Atlantic’s organization and advancing the company’s unique culture. Her leadership has contributed to the airline’s recognition as an innovative long-haul airline with modern aircraft and affordable fares.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Norse Atlantic’s Founder and CEO, Bjørn Tore Larsen, said,
“Kristin has been integral to Norse Atlantic’s operational progress during our start-up and initial growth phase. Her leadership and strategic insights, combined with a deep commitment to our people and values, have shaped who we are today. I am pleased to welcome her as our new Deputy CEO.”
Also commenting on her new role as Norse’s Deputy CEO, Kristin Berthelsen added,

In her new role, Ms. Berthelsen will continue to work closely with the company's CEO and the leadership team to further refine the company’s strategy, strengthen the organization and drive sustainable growth in the global long-haul market.
Founded in March 2021 by major shareholder and CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen, Norse Atlantic Airways offers affordable transatlantic and European flights along with specialized Charter and ACMI services for tailored travel needs, and extensive cargo operations. The airline’s first flight between Oslo and the U.S. departed on June 14, 2022. The company’s head office is located in Arendal, Norway, and Norse has a second office in London.
