As part of their long-term fleet renewal program, Luxembourg’s Luxair is preparing to receive their very first Embraer E195-E2 jet. The aircraft is now in its final stages of production in Brazil, and is expected to be delivered before the end of this year.

On Friday (August 29, 2025), Luxair announced that their very first Embraer E195-E2 jet is now in the final stages of production at Embraer’s facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil, and is scheduled for delivery to Luxembourg before the end of the year. Passenger revenue service is expected to commence in January 2026. The arrival of the E195-E2 lays the foundation for Luxair’s fleet renewal strategy, which includes six firm orders for the type, plus three options.
In Friday’s announcement, Luxair’s CEO, Gilles Feith, said,
“The arrival of our first E195-E2 will mark a milestone for Luxair and for Luxembourg. It combines sustainability, efficiency and greater comfort for our passengers, while also introducing our refreshed brand identity – a strong statement about our ambitions for the future.”
The Embraer E2 Family offers significant reductions in fuel burn and noise footprint compared to previous-generation aircraft. The aircraft is ideally suited to Luxair’s network and will bring a new level of comfort to passengers thanks to its spacious 2-2 seating layout and quieter cabin. Luxair will provide further information as the aircraft moves closer to delivery and the start of passenger revenue service.
