Lufthansa Launches New Service Between Munich and Bengaluru, India

Lufthansa launched new service between Munich and Bengaluru, India, with the inaugural flight departing on Saturday November 4, 2023. Bengaluru is the airline's third destination in India on offer from Munich, joining existing service to Delhi and Mumbai.

On Sunday (November 5, 2023), Lufthansa announced the launch of new service between Munich and Bengaluru in India, with the inaugural flight taking to the skies on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Bengaluru is Lufthansa’s third destination in India on offer from Munich, complementing existing service to Delhi and Mumbai. By January 2024, the Lufthansa Group will offer 64 weekly frequencies between Europe and India.


In Sunday’s announcement, Lufthansa Group’s Senior Director – South Asia, George Ettiyil,

said,


“It is an incredibly exciting time to be in India as the country is witnessing tremendous economic growth. It is now the 5th largest economy and is on track to be the 3rd largest economy by 2030. We have been invested in India for more than 90 years and when looking for our first new APAC destination since the pandemic, Bengaluru was a natural fit.”


The Bengaluru-Munich route is currently operating three times weekly, with flights conveniently touching down in Munich the same day at 8:05. The route will be serviced with a modern, fuel-efficient Airbus A350-900.
