Today (March 30, 2022), Lufthansa Cargo announced that they will participate as an onsite exhibitor at Fruit Logistica 2022 in Berlin, which will run from April 5-7, 2022. At the world’s leading trade fair, the company will demonstrate why they are an indispensable partner for the global trade in fruits and vegetables. Lufthansa Cargo provides the capability of delivering undamaged perishable goods to even the most remote corners of the world. This is ensured by a highly regulated temperature-controlled environment during flight and storage, as well as the deployment of specially trained team members. For example, Lufthansa Cargo can transport blueberries from Argentina, avocados from Mexico or beans from Kenya all the way to the recipient in warehouses in the UK or the Netherlands.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Lufthansa Cargo’s Global Industry Manager – Agriculture & Food, Wouter Boekee, said,

“When it comes to handling temperature-sensitive goods and perishables, Lufthansa Cargo has many years of experience and globally recognized expertise. With our special Perishables-to-Door service, we also offer Europe's leading food markets direct delivery via the Frankfurt, Munich and Brussels hubs.”

With their cargo hub in Frankfurt and Europe’s largest state-of-the-art perishable center, with fast and vacuum cooling capabilities, as well as its optimal location for European food distribution, Lufthansa Cargo is a reliable and experienced agri-food industry partner. The company offers an extensive network with freighter and passenger connections from the most important export countries for fruits and vegetables. Lufthansa Cargo has exhibited at Fruit Logistica since 2013, and this year the carrier’s booth can be found in Hall 25, Stand C-07. Numerous airfreight experts will be available for discussions with interested trade fair visitors.

With revenue of €3.8 billion and 7.2 billion freight ton kilometers in 2021, Lufthansa Cargo is one of the world’s leading air freight companies, employing approximately 4,200 team members worldwide. The cargo carrier serves around 300 destinations in over 100 countries with a dedicated fleet of freighters, as well as belly-hold cargo capacity of passenger aircraft operated by Lufthansa German Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings Discover and SunExpress. Lufthansa Cargo also operates an extensive road feeder service network. Lufthansa Cargo is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Lufthansa AG and is the Group’s logistics specialist.
