GIC International Catering has today announced a new contract with Lufthansa Cargo to provide inflight catering services for Lufthansa Cargo pilots.

On Thursday (January 8, 2026), GIC International Catering announced that effective January 1, 2026, they have contracted with Lufthansa Cargo to provide inflight catering services for their pilots. With this new contract, GIC has gained a renowned airline partner in the air freight sector, further strengthening their presence at Frankfurt Airport. The partnership currently covers eight daily flights on intercontinental routes, such as Chennai, Chicago, Mumbai, Beijing, Sao Paulo, Shanghai and Tokyo.
In Thursday’s announcement, GIC International Catering’s CEO, Göksel Yildirim, said,
“Supplying pilots carries a special responsibility. Their expectations for quality, precision and reliability go beyond those of any first or business class. Being selected by Lufthansa Cargo is both an honor and a commitment for us.”
As daily operations in the cargo sector are characterized by tight schedules and a high level of operational complexity, the requirements for quality, timing and process reliability in crew catering are particularly demanding. Lufthansa Cargo crews receive a premium à la carte selection based on business class menus complemented by additional options ranging from fresh club sandwiches to a selection of salads.
GIC International Catering GmbH (GIC), based in Kelsterbach close to Frankfurt Airport, has been a reliable partner in airline catering for 25 years, while also providing first-class catering services for schools as well as private events. As a family-owned business, GIC combines excellent cuisine with tailor-made solutions, sustainability, and cooperative partnerships. With state-of-the-art production and logistic processes as well as strict international security and hygiene standards, GIC stands for reliability and highest quality standards.
