Lufthansa Cargo and WiseTech Global to Launch a Direct eBooking Connection

Lufthansa Cargo and WiseTech Global plan on launching a direct eBooking connection between their systems, enhancing the process for users of the CargoWise platform for logistics and services globally.

On Tuesday (October 19, 2021), Lufthansa Cargo announced that they will launch a direct eBooking connection in partnership with WiseTech Global, a leading provider of logistics execution solutions. The connection between both systems will enhance the eBooking process for users of the CargoWise platform for logistics services globally. Production trials have commenced and the integration will provide CargoWise customers with a simplified booking process using their own IT systems, providing air cargo rates, flight availability and booking confirmation in real-time. The API connectivity will increase forwarder productivity, eliminate manual error-prone data entry and rekeying between systems, wile delivering increased visibility and reduced costs.


In Tuesday’s announcement, Lufthansa Cargo’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ashwin Bhat, said,

As the air cargo industry continues to experience a rapidly changing environment, the ability to connect directly to CargoWise means we are providing our customers with booking possibilities via their own systems. Also commenting on the new eBooking collaboration, WiseTech Global’s Chief Automation Officer – Air Cargo, Scott McCorquodale, said,
