Lufthansa will add six new long-haul tourist destinations to their summer 2021 schedule from Frankfurt including service to Punta Cana, Anchorage, Mombasa, Zanzibar, Mauritius and the Maldives. Flights are now bookable with full flexibility.
On Wednesday (October 1, 2020) Lufthansa expanded their focus strategy on tourist destinations with the announcement of six new routes from Frankfurt for summer 2021. The new long-haul routes include service to Punta Cana, Anchorage, Mombasa, Zanzibar, Mauritius and the Maldives. Tickets are now available with full rebooking flexibility. From March 29, 2021, the carrier will offer three weekly flights between Frankfurt and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic). Lufthansa will also offer twice weekly flights to Mombasa (Kenya) with continued service to the stunning island of Zanzibar (Tanzania). Additionally, from June 3, 2020, the airline will launch three weekly flights between Frankfurt and Anchorage, Alaska (USA).
Lufthansa will also extend their winter 2020/21 service to Mauritius and Malé in the Maldives over into their summer 2021 schedule. The carrier’s flights from Frankfurt to Punta Cana, Anchorage and Mauritius will be operated in cooperation with Eurowings by Lufthansa Group carrier Brussels Airlines. These flights are now bookable on the Lufthansa and Eurowings websites. Service from Frankfurt to Malé, Mombasa and Zanzibar will be operated by Lufthansa and can only be booked via lufthansa.com.
