On Tuesday (May 27, 2025), LOT Polish Airlines announced the opening of ticket sales for their new route between Warsaw (WAW) and Malaga (AGP) in Spain.  Starting January 15, 2026, the route will operate four times weekly during the winter season, before increasing to six times weekly from February 24, 2026.  Malaga will become LOT’s third year-round destination in Spain, joining existing service to Madrid and Barcelona.  During winter, flights will depart Warsaw on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 10:20, while the return flights will depart Malaga the same days at 15:35.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Lot Polish Airlines’ Commercial Proxy and Director of Network Planning, Robert Ludera, said,

“The launch of our new Malaga route directly reflects genuine market demand and marks a significant step forward in improving connections between Poland and Andalusia.  Costa del Sol has been increasingly popular among Polish travellers in recent years, chosen by over 100 thousand Poles as their holiday destination last year alone.  With its Mediterranean sunshine, exceptional culture, and vibrant Andalusian charm, Malaga continues to attract growing numbers of visitors seeking warm weather, local tastes, and authentic experiences.  I am confident that our passengers will love this newest addition to our Spanish route network.”

With over 300 days of sun annually, and average temperatures around 23 degrees Celsius, Malaga offers Spanish warmth and flair, with a summer that lasts distinctly longer than much of Europe.  Situated at the heart of the Costa del Sol coastline, known for its 16 diverse beaches, Malaga appeals to beach lovers and swimmers alike.  The city also offers a rich history, with must see sites such as the Teatro Romano dating back to the first century, as well as the Alcazaba Fortress, Malaga’s most significant Moorish landmark.  Malaga’s most celebrated native, Pablo Picasso, is celebrated with the Museo Picasso Málaga, which houses over 200 of his distinctive paintings, sculptures and ceramics.  Foodies will enjoy Malaga’s cuisine, which epitomizes southern Spain at its best with fresh, simple and flavorful dishes.
