On Thursday (October 30, 2025), LOT Polish Airlines announced the opening of ticket sales for new direct service between Warsaw and Porto, Portugal, complementing existing service to Lisbon. Starting May 25, 2026, the route will operate five times weekly in summer and four times weekly in winter with a Boeing 737-8 MAX jet. During the summer, the service will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flights will depart Warsaw at 10:20, arriving in Porto at 13:25. The return flight will leave Porto at 14:25, and lands in Warsaw at 19:10. For winter, the route will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, maintaining the same timetable.
In Thursday’s announcement, LOT Polish Airlines’ Network Director, Robert Ludera, said,
“The launch of our Warsaw-Porto route marks another important step in strengthening LOT’s presence on the Iberian Peninsula. This new connection enables our passengers to experience not only the cultural wealth and breathtaking landscapes of northern Portugal, but also the unique atmosphere of the city itself – from its historic quarters and striking architecture to its proud culinary heritage. Following the successful introduction of our Lisbon service earlier this year, we’d like to give travellers access to yet another remarkable region in the land of great explorers. We invite passengers to join us on yet more unforgettable journeys through Portugal.”
LOT continues to grow their footprint across Iberia. From summer 2026, the airline will double the number of weekly flights from Warsaw to Madrid and Barcelona, bringing each route to 14 services per week. The expanded Warsaw-Madrid schedule will take effect on 29 March 2026. In addition to the existing 10:40 departure from Warsaw, a new evening flight at 19:40 will be introduced. Return flights from Madrid will operate at 06:00 and 15:30. Starting June 1st, flights to Barcelona will also increase with a new afternoon service. LOT will operate two daily flights from Warsaw, one departing at 08:30, and the other at 13:50. Return flights from Barcelona are scheduled for 12:35 and 18:00. LOT also announced new services last week from Kraków. Starting 30 March 2026, passengers will be able to fly directly from the Małopolska capital to both Madrid and Barcelona.
