On Monday (March 31, 2025), LOT Polish Airlines announced the launch of their inaugural nonstop flight between Krakow and Paris-Orly.  The route will initially operate six times weekly, increasing to daily service on April 14, 2025.  Prior to departure of today’s flights, an inaugural ceremony was held at Krakow Airport, which was attended by Dariusz Klimczak, Minister of Infrastructure, Aleksandra Gajewska, Deputy Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy, and Michał Fijoł, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines, among others.

In Monday’s announcement, LOT Polish Airlines’ CEO, Michał Fijoł, said,

“Krakow is one of the most popular tourist cities in Europe and the site of many French investments. Meanwhile, Paris is a global centre of culture and a leader in modern technology and innovation. I am convinced that the new connection will not only intensify tourist traffic between the two cities, but also further strengthen economic relations, especially as Orly Airport is very conveniently connected to the business districts of Paris, meaning more comfortable access for business travellers.”

Also commenting on the route launch, Krakow Airport’s CEO, Łukasz Strutyński, said,

“France is one of the key destinations for Krakow and the entire Lesser Poland region. We estimate that the number of passengers traveling between Krakow and France will exceed 600,000 this year.  We are absolutely certain that the new opportunity to enjoy Paris - with all its cultural, art-related and culinary richness - will be highly popular among our passengers. One also has to bear in mind that this particular destination is of key business significance as well. We have been attempting to launch this connection for a number of years now.  The new route launched by LOT Polish Airlines will expand the offering of the Krakow Airport that will be now connected with three airfields in Paris - Charles de Gaulle, Beauvais-Tille and Orly.”

Paris-Orly Airport’s Director, Laurence Faure, added,

“We are delighted to welcome LOT Polish Airlines to Paris-Orly, which is already operating at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and to celebrate the launch of this new route to Krakow.  This destination further enriches our network and strengthens the connections between Paris and Central Europe, offering travelers a new way to discover two culturally rich cities every day of the week.”

The new route will be operated with a Boeing 737-8 MAX, with flight LO337 departing Krakow at 17:00, with the return flight, LO338, departing Paris at 20:30.  Krakow’s Pope John Paul II Airport is located 11 kilometers west of downtown Krakow, in Balice.  The second largest airport in Poland, Krakow’s airport serves over 11.1 million passengers annually.

LOT Polish Airlines connects Central and Eastern Europe with the rest of the world, including the U.S., Canada, India, Japan and South Korea.  The carrier operates long-haul flights with state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliners.  Founded in 1929, LOT Polish Airlines is the 11th oldest airline in the world, and is also one of the most internationally recognized Polish brands.
