LOT Polish Airlines Inaugurates New Service Between Warsaw and Malaga

LOT Polish Airlines has today announced the launch of new direct service between Warsaw and Malaga. The route will ultimately operate six days weekly, every day except Tuesdays.

On Thursday (January 15, 2026), LOT Polish Airlines announced the launch of their inaugural flight between Warsaw and Malaga. For the first month, the route will operate 3-4 times weekly, expanding to six days weekly, all days except Tuesday, from late February. Flight LO439 will depart Warsaw’s Chopin Airport (WAW) at 10:20 (10:15 a.m. on Fridays), while the return flight, LO440, departs Malaga at 15:35 (15:30 for summer 2026).
In Thursday’s announcement, LOT Polish Airlines’ Network Director, Robert Ludera, said,
“The launch of direct flights from Warsaw to Malaga opens up one of Southern Europe’s most attractive regions to our passengers. Malaga and the entire Costa del Sol region boast a unique blend of rich cultural heritage, modern urban infrastructure and world-class tourist facilities – from historical monuments and museums to Mediterranean cuisine and renowned resorts. At the same time, the region is developing dynamically as a business and technology hub, attracting both investors and international companies.”
LOT Polish Airlines connects Central and Eastern Europe with the rest of the world, including the U.S., Canada, India, Japan and South Korea. The carrier operates long-haul flights with state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Founded in 1929, LOT Polish Airlines is the 11th oldest airline in the world, and is also one of the most internationally recognized Polish brands.
