LATAM Airlines Adds HBO Max Content to Inflight Entertainment Offer

LATAM Airlines has added HBO Max to their inflight entertainment lineup, becoming the first airline in Latin America to offer the content. Guests will now be able to enjoy exclusive premieres like ‘Friends: The Reunion’ and ‘Raised by Wolves’ among other hit shows.

On Friday (November 19, 2021), LATAM Airlines Group and WarnerMedia announced a new alliance which will add HBO Max to the carrier’s inflight entertainment offerings. With today’s announcement, LATAM will become the first airline in Latin America to offer HBO Max onboard, providing guests with access to exclusive premieres like ‘Friends: The Reunion’ and ‘Raised by Wolves’, as well hit shows such as ‘Mare of Easttown’ and ‘The Undoing’. LATAM’s IFE system, LATAM Play offers guests over 700 hours of premium content including movies, documentaries, TV shows and music.


In Friday’s announcement, LATAM Airlines Group’s Vice President of Customers, Paulo Miranda, said,


“This exclusive alliance allows us to continue building the best in-flight entertainment platform in Latin America and to deliver an exceptional and distinctive experience to our passengers.”


LATAM Airlines Group is the leading airline group in Latin America, offering service to five domestic markets (Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru) as well as international service to Europe, the United States and the Caribbean. The Group operates a fleet of Boeing 767, 777 and 787s, as well as Airbus A319, A320, A320neo, A321 aircraft. LATAM also has a fleet of 11 freighters, which will be expanded to 21 freighters by 2023. LATAM Airlines Group’s shares are traded on the Santiago de Chile stock exchange and its ADRs are traded on the over-the-counter markets in the U.S.
