On Thursday (June 17, 2021), all Business Class airline, La Compagnie, announced the launch of two new routes with service from New York-Newark (EWR) to Tel Aviv and Milan-Malpensa. The carrier will offer three weekly flights between Newark and Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) from July 21st through October 31, 2021. The flight will make an interim 1.5 hour stop in Paris. Service between New York-Newark and Milan-Malpensa (MXP) will commence on November 29, 2021 with four weekly flights. The new routes will join La Compagnie’s existing twice-weekly service to Paris-Orly (ORY) which resumed on June 12, 2021, and flights to Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport (NCE), which will resume on July 2, 2021. La Compagnie will offer three weekly flights on the seasonal route to Nice through September.

In Thursday’s announcement, La Compagnie’s President, Christian Vernet, said,

“Over the past several weeks, we see have seen an increasing demand for flights to Israel out of the United States. Our 100% Smart Business Class product is the perfect fit for this high-end clientele, and we strongly believe this is an opportunity for our airline to upgrade its summer program. Our human-sized nature enables us to be flexible and to launch a new route that quickly. In a post Covid-19 era we anticipate a lower demand on our New York-Paris route, therefore we need to diversify our destinations offering and look for alternative routes for our second aircraft. Nice and Tel Aviv are a great combination for the summer season and Milan is a strong long-term route with a balanced mix of business and leisure passengers traveling throughout the year.”

La Compagnie will increase their flight frequencies on the New York-Paris route to four weekly in July, five weekly in August and to daily service in September. Since the route resumed last week, the airline’s first four flights operated with a 100 percent load factor. Roundtrip flights to Paris, Nice and Milan are available from $1,700, while return flights between New York and Tel Aviv are available from $2,000. To celebrate the airline’s resumption of flights, all tickets are 100% Flex and are changeable and refundable at no cost up to 24 hours prior to departure.

Launched in July 2014, La Compagnie is a French all Business Class carrier which operates Airbus A321neos configured with 76 full-flat seats. The airline offers regularly scheduled transatlantic service between Paris-Orly and New York (Newark Liberty International Airport) as well as seasonal service to Nice on the Côte d’Azur in France, Tel Aviv and Milan-Malpensa. La Compagnie has differentiated itself by offering a bespoke service with competitively low Business Class fares. In addition to comfortable fully lie-flat seats, the carrier’s aircraft include a state-of-the-art IFE system, unlimited Wi-Fi, thoughtful amenities, and a memorable dining experience with fresh seasonal menus created by New York and Paris based chefs.
