With the start of the summer schedule on Sunday, March 26, 2023, KLM has announced that their flying program will comprise 165 destinations, including 96 European and 69 intercontinental.
On Wednesday (March 22, 2023), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced the launch of their summer flying program, which includes service to 96 European and 69 intercontinental destinations, for a total of 165. As part of the summer schedule, which starts on Sunday, March 26, 2023, the carrier will expand their Asian network, doubling the number of flights compared to 2022. Additionally, KLM’s new Premium Comfort Class product will be increasingly available on intercontinental flights.
With the success of the Nantes route this winter, KLM will carry the service over to summer with three weekly flights. The airline will also operate daily service to Rennes, the regional capital of Brittany, from the start of the summer schedule. KLM will operate flights to 16 Asian destinations this summer, including daily service to Beijing and Shanghai, three weekly flights to Hong Kong, and twice weekly service to Taipei via Seoul-Incheon. In Japan, the carrier will offer twice weekly service to Osaka and three weekly flights to Tokyo-Narita (both via Seoul-Incheon). Additionally, there is a twice weekly direct service to Tokyo, which will increase to five times per week from September 2023. KLM will also offer service to Denpasar and Jakarta in Indonesia via Singapore, and flights to Manila in the Philippines will operate five times weekly via Kuala Lumpur. In India, the airline will offer daily service to Delhi and Mumbai, as well as five weekly flights to Bangalore.
For summer 2023, KLM will serve 18 North American destinations. U.S. destinations include New York, Atlanta, Austin, Washington, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Los Angeles, while service to Canada includes Edmonton, Montreal and Vancouver. KLM's new Premium Comfort Class will be available on flights to New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Toronto and Calgary.
KLM will also operate daily service to Dubai, as well as daily Boeing 777 widebody service to Tel Aviv. Additionally, the airline will operate daily service to Kuwait, four times weekly in combination with Bahrain, and three times weekly with Muscat. KLM will also offer daily service to Curaçao, with as many as 10 weekly flights during peak summer season, as well as daily service to both Aruba and Bonaire. Paramaribo will be served six time per week, while Port of Spain and St. Maarten flights will operate three times per week. KLM’s South American network will include 10 destinations, including daily service to São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Panama City. Costa Rica flights will operate according to the winter schedule until mid-May, with three weekly flights to San José in combination with Liberia. Finally, the airline’s Africa network will include 10 destinations, including daily service to Nairobi, Cape Town and Johannesburg, as well as two weekly flights to Zanzibar in combination with Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.
