KLM Launches Inaugural Flight Between Amsterdam and Hyderabad

KLM has announced the launch of new service between Amsterdam and Hyderabad in India, with the inaugural flight touching down in Hyderabad on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

On Wednesday (September 3, 2025), KLM announced the start of new service between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) and Hyderabad (HYD). The inaugural flight took to the skies on Tuesday, September 2nd, and touched down in Hyderabad, India on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. The new route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays with a Boeing 777-200ER featuring 35 World Business Class seats, 24 Premium Comfort Class seats, and 229 Economy Class seats. Hyderabad is now the carrier’s fourth destination in India, complementing existing service to Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Inbound customers to Hyderabad can also enjoy seamless onward one-stop connections via KLM’s partner airline IndiGo
In Wednesday’s announcement, KLM’s COO, Maarten Stienen, said,
“India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world and an important trading partner for the Netherlands and the EU. Over the past few years, the number of passengers traveling between Amsterdam and India has almost doubled. By adding Hyderabad as a new and important business destination in India, KLM is expanding its network to meet this growing demand.”

Hyderabad, the capital of the Indian state of Telangana, has a population of over 7 million and is experiencing strong economic growth. The city is internationally known as the ‘Pharmaceutical Capital of India,’ with over 800 pharmaceutical companies based in the region. Additionally, many American and European IT companies have operations in the area. Hyderabad Airport is the fourth busiest airport in India, after Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, and is showing rapidly increasing passenger traffic.
