KLM will expand their transatlantic network with the introduction of year-round nonstop service between Portland, Oregon and Amsterdam. Starting October 27, 2024, the route will operate three times weekly for winter, and then five times weekly for summer 2025.
On Wednesday (June 26, 2024), KLM announced the addition of year-round direct service between Portland, Oregon (PDX) and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) starting October 27, 2024. The route will operate three times per week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays for the winter 2024/25 season, and then five times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays for summer 2025. Flights will be operated with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring 30 World Business Class, 21 Premium Comfort, and 224 Economy Class seats. With the new Portland service, KLM will serve 21 North American destinations. KLM’s Atlantic Joint Venture partner Delta Air Lines has offered service between Amsterdam and Portland for the last 15 years.
For winter 2024/25, flight KL615 will depart Amsterdam at 10:25, and arrives in Portland at 11:25, while the return flight, KL616, departs Portland at 13:25 and touches down back in Amsterdam at 07:50+1. For summer 2025, flight KL615 will depart Amsterdam at 10:40 and lands in Portland at 11:30, while the return flight, KL616, departs Portland at 13:30, and arrives back in Amsterdam at 07:55 (all times local).
