Kenya Airways Signs New MoU with Air Tanzania to Enhance Regional Cooperation

Kenya Airways has today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Air Tanzania, aimed at strengthening strategic cooperation, while enhancing regional connectivity.

On Monday (July 28, 2025), Kenya Airways announced the signing of a new MoU with Air Tanzania, with the goal of strengthening strategic commercial cooperation, while expanding regional connectivity between East and Southern Africa. Areas of collaboration outlined in the MoU include the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and best practices in areas such as human resource training, engineering, aircraft maintenance, technical cooperation, cargo operations, MRO, safety, and innovation. The signing ceremony took place at the Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
In Monday’s signing ceremony, Kenya Airways’ Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Allan Kilavuka, said,
“This partnership underscores our commitment to building regional capacity to support economic growth, trade, and tourism across East Africa. By collaborating closely with Air Tanzania, we can jointly offer our passengers and cargo clients more flexible and efficient travel solutions.”
Also commenting at the ceremony, Air Tanzania’s CEO, Mr. Peter Ulanga, added,
“This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our efforts to expand our regional presence and better serve the growing demand for air travel in Africa. Together with Kenya Airways, we are creating a stronger, more connected aviation landscape that will benefit our economies and our people.”
