Jetstar Asia to Start New Nonstop Service Between Singapore and Colombo, Sri Lanka

Starting November 21, 2024, Jetstar Asia will launch new service direct between Singapore and Colombo, Sri Lanka, becoming the only LCC offering nonstop service on the route.

On Wednesday (August 14, 2024), Jetstar Asia announced the launch of new direct service between Singapore and Colombo, Sri Lanka starting November 21, 2024.  The route will operate five times weekly with an Airbus A320 aircraft.  Jetstar Asia will offer a split schedule with morning and evening departures from Singapore’s Changi Airport, allowing seamless connections for customers transiting Singapore on Jetstar Airways’ daily service from Melbourne, or on one of the carrier’s up to six weekly flights from Perth.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Jetstar Asia’s CEO, John Simeone, said,


“Sri Lanka is a vibrant destination known for its stunning scenery and warm hospitality and is must-visit place for many,  With our incredible low fares, we’re excited to enable more people to experience this wonderful country with its stunning beaches, delicious food and fascinating history and culture.  Today’s announcement demonstrates our ongoing commitment to introducing exciting new destinations and I want to thank Changi Airport Group, Sri Lanka Tourism, Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka and Hayleys for their ongoing support.”
