JetBlue’s TrueBlue Partners With Blade for Helicopter Transfers From Manhattan to JFK and EWR

JetBlue is adding a new benefit to their TrueBlue® loyalty program through a partnership with Blade, a company that provides helicopter transfers from Manhattan to JFK and Newark, with travel times as little as five minutes.

On Thursday (June 23, 2022), JetBlue announced the addition of all new benefits to their TrueBlue loyalty program. Through a new partnership with Blade, a company that provides helicopter airport transfers between Manhattan and both John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), allowing customers to travel from Midtown Manhattan Heliports to JFK and EWR in as little as five minutes. Effective immediately, Mosaic+ members will receive credits that are redeemable for complimentary seats on Blade helicopter transfers when connecting to or from a JetBlue flight. The credits can also be used for a Mosaic+ member’s eligible travel companions.


In Thursday’s announcment, JetBlue’s Vice President of Loyalty & Partnerships, Chris Buckner, said,


“We know the JetBlue journey starts long before our customers step aboard one of our flights, which is why we are making more of the entire travel experience even easier and even more rewarding. This partnership will help us further evolve and enhance our TrueBlue program so our most loyal customers can enjoy more perks more often.”


Also commenting on the new partnership, Blade’s President, Melissa Tomkiel, said,


“We look forward to enabling loyal JetBlue fliers to fly between the city and area airports in as little as five minutes. Given its New York City roots JetBlue is an ideal partner as we continue to ramp up our Blade Airport service to six days a week and up to thirteen hours per day in New York City.”

Additionally, starting July 1st, 2022, Mosaic members will receive 25 percent off of their first-ever Blade Airport trip and TrueBlue members will receive 10 percent off their first transfer when connecting to or from JetBlue flights. With the new partnership, JetBlue becomes the only U.S. carrier to offer a service of this kind, and will provide TrueBlue members access to Blade transfers through 2023.
