In Thursday’s announcement, JetBlue’s SVP – Network Revenue and Enterprise Planning, Daniel Shurz, said,

“We’re excited to add San Pedro Sula to JetBlue’s route map as we expand affordable, high-quality travel to underserved markets.  This new route strengthens our presence in Central America and underscores our commitment to the region.  We’re proud to offer New York travelers a new gateway to the culture and beauty of Honduras, while helping friends and relatives stay connected through the award-winning JetBlue experience.”

Also commenting on JetBlue’s new service, Honduras’ National Airport’s Executive Secretary, Malcolm Stufkens, added,

“We welcome this new direct route to New York and celebrate it as a significant step in strengthening Honduras’s air connectivity, which is a clear reflection of the success of the public investment our government has made in modernizing our airport infrastructure.  The arrival of JetBlue not only expands the options available to our citizens and visitors but also underscores the growing confidence in Honduras as a key destination for commerce, tourism, and investment.”
