Service to Tulum will now operate daily with an Airbus A320, complementing JetBlue’s existing service from JFK to Cancun and Los Cabos. Celebrating the new route, limited-time one-way fares are now bookable from $99 (T&Cs apply). JetBlue flight 2879 departs New York-JFK at 08:00 and arrives in Tulum at 11:15, while the return service, flight 2880, departs Tulum at 12:45 and touches down back in New York at 17:49 (all times local).
In Thursday’s announcement, JetBlue’s VP – Network Planning and Airline Partnerships, David Jehn, said,
“As the only airline with direct service from New York’s JFK to Tulum, we are thrilled to offer our customers our award-winning service, low fares, and another option when traveling to the Mexican Caribbean. JetBlue began service to Mexico more than 17 years ago with flights from New York to Cancun and we’re proud to expand our footprint in Mexico.”
Also commenting on JetBlue’s new Tulum service, Quintana Roo Tourism Board’s Director, Andrés Martínez Reynoso, said,
“JetBlue has been an invaluable partner in connecting travelers from across the United States to the Mexican Caribbean with direct flights to Cancun. We are excited to see this partnership continue to flourish with JetBlue's new daily nonstop service from New York JFK to Tulum. Tulum, with its serene beaches, eco-conscious living, and rich Mayan history, will now be more accessible to travelers, in addition to points of interest further south along the Grand Costa Maya. We look forward to welcoming New Yorkers, and those transiting through JFK, to this new era in the Mexican Caribbean.”
JetBlue Travel Products’ President, Andres Barry, added,
“We’re excited to start service to Tulum today, offering our JetBlue Vacations customers even more options to explore Mexico. Mexico remains a popular destination for vacation packages due to its diverse offerings, and expanding our Insider Experience program to Tulum was a natural progression. The program's popularity and positive feedback from customers in Cancun have been tremendous. The Insider Experience acts as an in-person problem solver and concierge all wrapped in one, providing added value to our bundled vacation packages and ensuring customers get more than they pay for.”
