JetBlue Announces New Service to Guatemala City and New Domestic Routes

JetBlue announced on Thursday new daily service from New York-JFK to Guatemala City from June 1st, 2020. Guatemala will be JetBlue’s 25th international destination, expanding the carrier’s leadership position in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Yesterday, JetBlue announced new daily service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City starting June 1, 2020. The new service marks JetBlue’s 25th international destination as they expand their leadership position in Latin America and the Caribbean. The daily flight to Guatemala City (#625) will depart JFK at 7:00PM and arrive in Guatemala City at 10:15PM. The return flight (#628) departs Guatemala City 11:25PM, arriving New York-JFK at 6:00AM the next morning. In Thursday’s announcement, JetBlue’s Head of Revenue and Planning, Scott Laurence said,


“With new destinations on tap for 2020, more flights in our best performing markets and tactical adjustments to maximize the success of our fleet network, we enter a new decade from a strong position that sets us up for success in the years ahead. We continue to identify opportunities to strengthen our focus cities and allocate flying so we can offer better schedules and high-demand destinations for our customers.”


The New York-based carrier further announced on Thursday that they will expand their service at Bozeman, Montana’s Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) with new nonstop service from New York (JFK) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). Both routes will be operated on a summer and winter seasonal schedule from June 2020. Starting June 11, 2020, The New York – Bozeman will operate three times a week and up to daily during peak seasonal travel periods. From June 13, 2020, The JFK-BZN flight (#947) will depart New York at 6:59PM and arrive in Bozeman at 9:50PM. The return flight (#944) departs Bozeman at 10:38AM, arriving New York at 5:05AM the next day. The Boston – Bozeman route will be operated twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays with the departing flight (#247) taking off from Boston at 11:46AM and arriving in Bozeman at 2:54PM. The return flight (#256) departs Bozeman at 3:40PM and arrives in Boston at 10:00PM.


JetBlue also announced yesterday that starting April 28, 2020 they will be adding a second daily frequency between New York (JFK) and Nashville, Tennessee (BNA). The morning flight (#1073) departs JFK at 8:00AM and arrives in Nashville at 9:39AM. The return flight (#1074) departs Nashville at 10:25AM and arrives in New York at 1:48PM. The Afternoon flight (#983) departs JFK at 4:40PM and arrives in Nashville at 6:19PM. The evening return flight (#978) departs Nashville at 7:05PM, arriving JFK at 10:28PM. All routes announced on Thursday will be served with Airbus A320s.


JetBlue operates over 1,000 daily flights to around 100 destinations in the U.S., Caribbean and Latin America. The New York-based airline carries more than 42M passengers annually and maintains robust operations in New York, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, San Juan and Los Angeles (Long Beach).
