Jet2.com has placed an incremental order for 35 A320neos, increasing their total commitment to the Family to 98 aircraft. This agreement follows Jet2.com’s first order for 36 A321neos in August 2021, subsequently followed by further commitments.
On Tuesday (October 18, 2022), Airbus announced that Jet2.com has placed an incremental order for 35 Airbus A320 neo aircraft, expanding their commitment to the A320neo Family to a total of 98 aircraft. Today’s incremental order follows Jet2.com’s first order for 36 A321neos placed in August 2021, followed by further commitments. The carrier’s new A320neos will be configured for 180 seats, and will feature the Airspace cabin with innovative lighting, new seating products, and 60 percent larger overhead bins compared to previous generation models.
The Airbus A320neo Family incorporates the latest generation engines and Sharklets which combine to deliver over 20 percent fuel and CO2 savings, as well as a 50 percent smaller noise footprint. At September 30, 2022, the Airbus A320neo Family had won over 8,500 firm orders from more than 130 customers worldwide.
