Starting May 31, 2025, Japan Airlines will launch new service between Tokyo-Narita and Chicago. Frequencies will also increase on the routes from Narita to San Diego and Bengaluru, from Kansai to Los Angeles and Honolulu, and on the Chubu-Honolulu route.

On Tuesday (January 21, 2025), Japan Airlines announced their summer 2025 schedule, which includes new destinations and added frequencies. The carrier will launch new service between Tokyo-Narita and Chicago starting May 31, 2025, while frequencies from Narita to San Diego and Bengaluru will be increased from March 30th. Starting July 18, 2025, JAL will also increase frequencies on the routes from Kansai to Los Angeles and Honolulu, as well as between Chubu and Honolulu. Additionally, the carrier will gradually introduce the new Airbus A350-1000 on the routes from Tokyo-Haneda to Paris and Los Angeles. The first regular international flight for Japan Transocean Air (JTA), with service between Naha and Taipei, will also take to the skies during FY2025.
Domestically, frequencies will be increased on the Osaka (Itami)-Misawa route from daily to twice daily, while frequencies on the Osaka (Itami)-Sapporo (New Chitose) route will also be increased seasonally from four to five daily flights. From August, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner will be deployed for the first time on the route between Tokyo-Haneda and Miyako. Japan Airlines will also introduce ‘JAL First Class Service’ on the Haneda-Miyako route, which will be available on select aircraft.
