Japan Airlines has today announced that customers flying on international JAL flights will now receive complimentary domestic connecting flights to any destination in Japan.
On Friday (September 13, 2024), Japan Airlines announced the introduction of complimentary domestic flights in Japan for customers connecting from a JAL international flight. Customers will enjoy a seamless travel journey, staying at their initial destination (e.g. Tokyo) and then traveling to another destination within Japan without extra charges for most travelers. To qualify for the fee domestic flight, customers must book a JAL international flight and a corresponding domestic flight on the same reservation (separate booking for domestic flights are not eligible).
A stopover fee will apply to U.S., Canada, Mexico, and China travelers whose first destination stay in Japan exceeds 24 hours, while no additional charges apply for travelers from other countries for domestic segments. Currently, the offer is only available to customers departing the U.S., Canada and Mexico, Thailand, Singapore (from September 18th), Australia and New Zealand (from September 19th), Vietnam and the Philippines (from September 25th), and Indonesia, India, China and Taiwan (from September 27th), whose first destination stay in Japan Exceeds 24 hours. No additional charges apply for travelers from other countries for the domestic segments.
