ITA Airways Opens Ticket Sales for New Route Between Rome Fiumicino and Santo Domingo

ITA has opened ticket sales on their new route between Rome Fiumicino and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. From November 30, 2026, the new winter seasonal route will operate once weekly on Mondays with an Airbus A330neo.

On Wednesday (April 22, 2026), ITA Airways announced an expansion of their intercontinental network with the opening of ticket sales for new direct seasonal service between Rome Fiumicino and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. For winter 2026/27 the route will operate once weekly on Mondays with an Airbus A330neo featuring Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class cabins. The new Dominican Republic service marks ITA Airways’ entry into Central America and further strengthens the carrier’s presence in the Americas. ITA already operates direct flights to the U.S., Canada, Brazil, and Argentina.
In Wednesday’s announcement, ITA Airways’ Chief Commercial, Network & Incentive Management Officer, said Emiliana Limosani, said,
“With Santo Domingo, we are strengthening our presence in the Americas and enhancing our offering to and from Rome Fiumicino with a highly attractive new destination. This route is designed for our customers, who will be able to plan their winter holidays with the convenience of a direct flight and the comfort of our Airbus A330neo. We are confident these flights will also be of great interest to our partners in the tourism industry, who can rely on a high-quality product. This new route is part of the ongoing development of our intercontinental network, one of the key pillars of the Company’s commercial strategy.”
