ITA Airways’ New A321neo to Operate Between Rome Fiumicino and London Heathrow From December 1st

Starting December 1st, 2023, ITA Airways’ new Airbus A321neo will operate daily between Rome Fiumicino and London Heathrow. The aircraft will also operate between Rome Fiumicino and Paris-Charles de Gaulle over the Christmas holidays.

On Wednesday (November 29, 2023), ITA Airways announced the initial schedule for their brand new Airbus A321neo.  The aircraft will be deployed on the route between Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and London Heathrow (LHR) with daily service from December 1st, 2023, until the end of January 2024.  The new A321neo will also service the Rome Fiumicino to Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) route over the Christmas holidays.  For the Rome-London route, flights will depart Fiumicino daily at 14:00 and arrive at Heathrow at 16:30.  The return flight departs London at 17:00 and arrives back in Rome at 21:00. From December 22nd through January 9th, ITA’s new A321neo will operate three daily flights between Rome (FCO) and Paris (CDG).  Flights will depart Rome daily at 8:35, 15:05 and 21:30, and land in Paris at 10:45, 17:15 and 23:40, respectively (all times local).


Originally, ITA Airways’ new A321neo was scheduled to de deployed on the route between Rome and Tel Aviv (TLV), but due to the current geopolitical situation was redeployed as outlined above. 


This aircraft is the first A321neo to join ITA Airways’ all-Airbus fleet, which currently consists of 82 aircraft, including new generation A220s, A320neos, A330neos and A350s.  The carrier’s new A321neo features the award-winning Airspace by Airbus cabin, which offers increased space, latest-generation seats, a new ITA Airways custom interior lighting system, and extra large overhead bins. 


ITA's A321neo is configured with 12 lie-flat Business Class, 12 Premium Economy and 141 Economy Class seats, 12 of which are designated Comfort Economy.  Each seat offers access to a sophisticated IFE system with on-demand audio and video via low-reflectivity 4K touchscreens measuring 17.3, 15.6 and 13.3 inches in Business, Premium Economy and Economy respectively.  The new A321neo is also equipped with Wi-Fi, allowing guests to connect their personal devices to text, surf, or stream content, depending on the connectivity package purchased.
