ITA Airways and Korean Air have signed a new codeshare agreement, which will provide enhanced connectivity for customers of both airlines via Rome Fiumicino and Seoul Incheon airports.
On Monday (November 20, 2023), ITA Airways, the national carrier of Italy, announced the signing of a new codeshare partnership with Korean Air, which will provide customers of both airlines enhanced connectivity via Rome Fiumicino and Seoul Incheon airports. From November 21st, 2023, Korean Air will place their ‘KE’ marketing code on 11 domestic Italian destinations in ITA’s network via Rome Fiumicino, including Bologna, Venice, Turin, Trieste and Genoa, as well as on international routes to Madrid, Barcelona, Athens, Cairo and Munich.
Likewise, ITA Airways will place their ‘AZ’ code on Korean Air operated flights between Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa airports and Seoul Incheon on two domestic routes to Pusan and Daegu, as well as on four Japanese destinations, including Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo. The airlines will continue to expand their commercial cooperation to offer guests more future travel combinations. The new codeshare partnership is ITA’s 32nd codeshare agreement, all accomplished in just over two years since the company’s inception.
