Starting September 14, 2024, IndiGo will launch new daily nonstop flights between New Delhi and Vijayawada. The new route will facilitate trade and enhance business opportunities between the capital and one of India's fastest growing metropolitan area.
On Tuesday (August20, 2024), IndiGo announced the launch of new daily service between New Delhi and Vijayawada starting September 14, 2024. The new connection between Northern India and Vijayawada will enhance access to international destinations for travelers from the East Coast via New Delhi. Located on the banks of the river Krishna, Vijayawada is the business capital of Andhra Pradesh. The city is famous for its rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks, including revered temples such as the Kanaka Durga Temple, scenic sites such as Bhavani Island, and stunning architectural marvels like the Prakasam Barrage. Visitors will also enjoy vibrant local markets and delicious regional cuisine, making Vijayawada an ideal destination for history enthusiasts, spiritual seekers, and foodies alike.
In Tuesday’s announcement, IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales, Mr. Vinay Malhotra, said,
