IndiGo to Launch New Direct Service Between Mumbai and Istanbul From January 1st, 2023

IndiGo will launch new daily nonstop service between Mumbai and Istanbul starting January 1st, 2023. The new route will enhance connectivity between India and Turkey, with seamless onward connectivity via Istanbul through Indigo’s codeshare partner Turkish Airlines.

On Tuesday (October 11, 2022), IndiGo announced the launch of new daily nonstop service between Mumbai and Istanbul from January 1st, 2023. Customers traveling to Istanbul will also enjoy seamless one-stop connectivity via Indigo’s codeshare partner, Turkish Airlines. The new connection will also enhance the tourist footprint in Istanbul, offering easy access to popular sites and attractions including Hagia Sophia Mosque, Dolmabahce Palace, the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul Sea Life Aquarium, the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazar, Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum, the Istanbul Cevahir Mall and more.


In Tuesday’s announcment, IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales, Mr. Vinay Malhotra, said,


“In line with our vision to strengthen international connectivity from India, we have launched a new connection between Mumbai- Istanbul. This will enhance international capacity and offer more options to the consumers. Istanbul is a major city in Turkey which is world-famous for its rich history and culture, stunning scenery, magnificent structures, and a plethora of aspects. Istanbul is a prominent center of trade and commerce. Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, is a mix of iconic old-world charm architecture, strikingly modern high rises, cultural and traditional structures, and whatnot. We will strive to stay true to our promise of affordable fares, on-time performance, courteous and hassle-free service across wide network.”
