IndiGo will enhance domestic connectivity this winter with the launch of eight new flights on the Bhopal-Udaipur, Ahmedabad-Jammu, Ranchi-Bhubaneshwar and Indore-Chandigarh routes.
On Thursday (October 20, 2022), IndiGo announced the addition of eight new exclusive flights for the winter 2022/23 season. Service will be added on the routes between Bhopal and Udaipur, Ranchi and Bhubaneshwar, and Indore and Chandigarh. All of these destinations are known for either their breathtaking scenery, or are important industrial and manufacturing centers. Ranchi provides access to numerous waterfalls, and Ahmedabad, located on the banks of the Sabarmati river is known for world-famous cotton textiles, unique snacks and diamond cutting.
Jammu offers beautiful temples and palaces, forts and forests, while Bhopal is known as the City of Lakes and is a major industrial center. Bhubaneswar is a major tourist destination with many elaborate temples, and Udaipur offers rich history with forts and palaces, as well as beautiful lakes. Known as the ‘beautiful city’, Chandigarh is lauded for its cleanliness and is another popular tourist destination. Finally, there is Indore, which boasts a rich history with magnificent palaces and temples, and is also the center of rapid industrialization, particularly with its thriving cotton handloom industry.
In Thursday’s announcement, IndiGo’s Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, said,

We will start direct flights between Bhopal and Udaipur under the UDAN scheme. Enhanced connectivity between the political and commercial capitals of these states will help bolster economic growth through increased trade opportunities and tourist footprint.
