IndiGo announced on Wednesday an expansion of their domestic network with 15 new routes from metro cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. The new routes will commence operation from March 29, 2020.
On Wednesday (March 4, 2020), IndiGo announced an expansion of their domestic network with the addition of 15 new flights from metropolitan cities including six new flights from Hyderabad, five flights from Chennai, four new flights from Mumbai and Bangalore and three new flights from Delhi. The additional routes will begin operating from March 29, 2020 and include service between Bangalore-Indore, Mumbai-Chennai, Delhi-Indore, Chennai-Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Guwahati, Kolkata-Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Chennai, Delhi-Hyderabad and Hyderabad-Chennai. The carrier will also launch flights between Patna and Mumbai on May 15th as well as service between Jaipur and Bangalore on July 1, 2020. In Wednesday’s announcement, IndiGo’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. William Boulter said,

These flights will cater to the increased demand for travel from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. These flights will not only improve accessibility, but also promote trade and commerce through direct connections between Indore-Bangalore, Jaipur-Bangalore, Patna-Mumbai and Indore-Delhi, leading to economic growth for all cities involved. We will continue to offer new routes as per the travel demand on various sectors.
