Iberia has today unveiled a special livery on an Airbus A350 aircraft, which will transport the Spanish National Football Team to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.

On Wednesday (May 27, 2026), Iberia announced that they have wrapped an Airbus A350 in a special livery ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the U.S., Mexico and Canada from June 11th through July 19th. The aircraft is scheduled to carry the Spanish National Football Team from the Santiago-Rosalía de Castro Airport to Nashville, Tennessee in the U.S. on June 5, 2026. Iberia’s special A350, registration EC-MYX, features an exclusive design integrated into the airline’s livery and a message that symbolizes the support of an entire country for the National Team: “A team takes off. A country flies.”
With this initiative, Iberia aims to transform one of their flagship aircraft into a symbol of support and shared pride for the millions of people who will be cheering on the Spanish national football team during the World Cup. Last November, the airline surprised passengers on flight IB307 between Madrid and Mexico City by giving them the new official jersey that the team will wear during the tournament.
Iberia’s sponsorship of the Spanish National Football Team is part of Talent on Board, an initiative through which the airline promotes and supports Spanish talent across multiple disciplines. With this action, Iberia reinforces their commitment to the National Team and to Spain in the lead-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Through Talent on Board, Iberia promotes talent in fields as diverse as sports, innovation, film, music, fashion, gastronomy, art or design, thereby reaffirming their purpose of connecting people, cultures and Spanish talent with the world.
