Iberia to Launch New Service to Tromsø and Salzburg For Winter 2024/25

From November 30, 2024, Iberia will launch new twice-weekly service to Salzburg on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which will operate until March 29, 2025.  On December 1st, the carrier will also debut two weekly flights to Tromsø on Thursdays and Sundays.

On Monday (April 8, 2024), Iberia announced the addition of Salzburg, Austria and Tromsø in Norway to their winter 2024/25 flying program.  Starting November 30th, the carrier will offer two weekly flights to Salzburg on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which will operate until March 29, 2025.  Flights to Tromsø will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays from December 1st through March 2, 2025.  Over the winter seasonal schedule, Iberia will offer 12,600 seats to Salzburg and 9,000 to Tromsø.  One-way fares on the new routes are now bookable from €119 to Salzburg or €199 to Tromsø or Rovaniemi..  Additionally, service to Rovaniemi in the Finnish Lapland will return this winter, with four weekly flights on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from November 30th, 2024 through March 1st, 2025.


For travelers wishing to visit festive Christmas markets, or to take a dream ski holiday, Salzburg is an ideal starting point.  While the majestic city is a destination on its own, visitors can enjoy side trips across the region, such as an excursion Hallstatt, a picturesque town known as ‘The Pearl of the Salzburg region.  Naturally, due the close proximity with the German border, a visit to the majestic Bavarian Alps is highly recommended.


Visitors to Tromsø can enjoy the stunning northern lights, participate in a wide range of winter activities such as sleigh rides, or enjoy excursions to the Norwegian Fjords.  Rovaniemi, home of Santa Claus, is one of the most magical places in the world during the  Christmas season.  Visitors can explore Santa’s Village, with a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes, or enjoy a husky or reindeer sleigh ride, snowmobile excursions, or even visit constructions made entirely out of ice.
