From March 28, 2024, Iberia will launch new nonstop service between Madrid and Tirana, the capital of Albania. The route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with one-way fares from €79, based on a return purchase.
On Wednesday (October 4, 2023), Iberia announced the launch of new nonstop service between Madrid and Tirana, Albania starting March 28, 2024. The route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays wit a 186-passenger Airbus A320neo. One-way fares are now bookable from €79, based on a roundtrip purchase. Additionally, from April through October 2024, Iberia will also offer service to popular summer destinations, including Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb, Catania and Ponte Delgada. With the addition of Tirana, Iberia’s network will now include 138 destinations.
Tirana offers a rich cultural heritage along with stunning natural landscapes, including mountains reaching over 2,000 meters, as well as castles and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
From May to September 2024, Iberia will also expand operations to the Greek islands and Sardinia, with service to Corfu, Mykonos and Santorini in Greece, as well as to Olbia in Sardinia, Italy. Additionally, the carrier will expand service to Bergen in Norway from May to early September, instead of only in July and August.
