When FITUR Madrid opens this Wednesday, Iberia will offer a sustainable exhibit built with paper, cotton ropes, recycled fabrics and natural plants. This year, the carrier will highlight sustainability, new uniforms and an enhanced onboard experience.
On Sunday (January 16, 2022), Iberia announced that they will once again participate in FITUR Madrid, which opens on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. The carrier has designed a sustainable exhibit which was built with paper, cotton ropes, recycled fabrics and natural plants. Visitors to Iberia's stand will have the opportunity to taste the carrier’s new Business and Tourist Premium menus which will debut in June. Additionally, guests can experience a Virtual Fitting Room, where they can see how Iberia’s new Teresa Helbig designed uniforms, which will be introduced this spring, would suit them. The exhibit will also feature historical Iberia uniforms from such prestigious designers as Pertegaz and Elio Berhanyer, among others. Iberia’s exhibit will also showcase the various digital solutions the airline has launched to make the guest experience more comfortable and safer. As in previous years, Iberia’s exhibit will be located in Hall 10, Stand C-02, North Entrance.
As previously mentioned, visitors will have the opportunity to taste the carrier’s new Business and Premium gastronomic offer, which will launch in June, while enjoying the comfort of the airline’s Business and Premium Tourist seats. The seating area is integrated into a fabric structure that simulates the fuselage of an aircraft, so guests can enjoy a virtual 30,000 foot experience. The menus have been prepared by DO & CO, and are based on the richness of the Mediterranean diet and prepared with high-quality ingredients and local seasonal products. The new gastronomic offer includes new appetizers, more entrée and desert options, as well as a new service protocol.
During February, Iberia will also reintroduce the sale of drinks and snacks onboard in Economy Class on short and medium-haul flights. These options complement Iberia’s ‘Deliverfly’, a new service that allows customers to order and take food onboard, with the goal of reducing food waste. Iberia’s FITUR exhibit will also highlight the carrier’s Digital Concierge, which will launch in June, allowing customers the ability to customize their onboard menu, entertainment selections, and more. Additionally, Iberia will be offering wine tastings at their display, which will help provide a better understanding of the carrier’s onboard cellar, while highlighting the various regional Spanish wines offered in the VIP lounges.
