On Wednesday (August 20, 2025), Iberia announced that following the renewal of pre-order menus on long-haul flights, they have now refreshed the pre-order service menu for short and medium-haul flights.  This service is available from 45 days to 18 hours before departure, and offers a variety of fresh dishes for journeys of up to 4 and a half hours. Guests traveling on long-haul flights departing from Madrid, can also add the exclusive Celebration Packs to their menu, which include a delicious vanilla and lemon treat accompanied by a bottle of cava.  The pre-order service is delivered directly onboard by showing the receipt to a cabin crew member.

New selections for the short-haul pre-order menu include a Greek salad, Baked brisket on a bed of chickpea ragout, Vegan gnocchi with tomato ragout, Ricotta mezzelune with sautéed spinach, and Teriyaki salmon with rice and wok vegetables.  Additionally, the popular creamy rice with cuttlefish, prawn and piquillo pepper will remain.  The new menu items are in addition to existing standard dishes such as salmon poké or a beef burger.  Also new is the addition of breakfasts on early flights with an overnight stay outside Madrid, where customers can enjoy an ensaimada de Mallorca with yogurt.  Lunch and dinner service remain available as always.
