Iberia’s loyalty program, Iberia Plus, has enriched their award system, making it easier than ever to accrue Avios. Now, for each euro spent, members will receive at least five Avios, and customers booking Air Shuttle routes can earn up to nine Avios, depending on card level.
On Tuesday (November 29, 202), Iberia announced that their Iberia Plus loyalty program has improved its reward system, making it even easier for members to earn Avios. Now, members will earn five Avios for each euro spent, plus up to nine Avios when booking travel on Air Shuttle routes, depending on card level. Additionally, customers booking travel to Latin America can earn up to 10 Avios per euro spent. With the change, members will receive 22 percent more Avios, which will now be accumulated based on the cost of the flight (excluding taxes and fees).
In Tuesday’s announcement, Iberia’s Director of Client Commitment, Silvia Morán, said,
"With this new reward system, which is more transparent for all our clients, we are going to invest 22 percent more Avios, which we hope will further boost the levels of satisfaction with the program.”
For each euro spent, Iberia Plus Classic members will earn five Avios, Silver members six, Gold members seven, and Iberia Plus Platinum, Infinite, and Infinite Prime members eight. Flights to Latin America will also earn two additional Avios per euro spent, allowing top level cardholders to earn up to 10 Avios for every euro spent. As previously mentioned, Air Shuttle customers can earn up to nine Avios per euro spent, including spend on ancillary services such as extra baggage or seat selection. The Elite Points required to level up Iberia Plus status will remain unchanged, and all customers will retain their Iberia Plus level until March 2023.
