Iberia Maintenance has opened a call to hire professionals from other areas of the vehicle maintenance family who want to make the transition into the world of aeronautics.

On Monday (August 11, 2025), Iberia Maintenance announced the launch of a pioneering course aimed at training students of intermediate level vocational training in the transport and automotive maintenance areas, which allows them to become an aviation turbine engine maintenance technician. Selected candidates will become part of Iberia through an indefinite contract at the Iberia Motor Workshop, the over 35,000 square meter facility, where they will receive 500 hours of theoretical and practical training.
The new internships will take place at the Iberia Maintenance facilities in La Muñoza, where the airline’s engine workshop and test bench are located, and where nearly 700 professional team members work. Iberia Maintenance serves over 100 customers worldwide and is an international reference center for new generation engines. The facility has the capacity to overhaul and repair more than 200 aero engines annually.
This pioneering training course launched by Iberia Maintenance joins the Vocational Training Programme that the company has been operating since 2018. During the 2024-2025 academic year, 209 students have completed their internships in the in-house training programme at Iberia's facilities in La Muñoza, both in maintenance and online maintenance. This is a record that doubles the figure for the 2022-2023 academic year. Interested candidates can register by clicking here.
