Iberia and Vueling have reached and agreement with GSMA, the organizing company for the Mobile World Congress, to become partner airlines for MWC21 in Barcelona, which will be held from June 28th through July 1, 2021.
On Friday (May 14, 2021) Iberia announced that along with Vueling, the carriers have reached an agreement with GSMA, the organizer of the Mobile World Congress, to become partner airlines for MWC21. The conference will be held in Barcelona from June 28th through July 1, 2021 and through the partnership the airlines will offer discounts to attendees. The discount will be 10% for attendees traveling in Economy Class on either airline and 15% for travelers in Iberia Premium Economy or Business Class and will be available for travel through July 8, 2021.
In Friday’s announcement, Vueling’s Director of Communications and Institutional Relations, Ana Fernández, said,
“It is a pride to collaborate with the organization on one of the most important technological events in the world. We are a native digital company and with this agreement we want to show our support to the technology sector and, of course, to Barcelona, for the great impact that this congress has on the city and for continuing to be an ally in the recovery of tourism and the economy.”
Iberia’s Sales Director for Spain, Portugal and North Africa, Guillermo González Vallina, added,
“We have been participating in this great technological event for may years, which this year becomes even more important because, on one hand, it will contribute to the reactivation of the trade fair and congress sector, and on the other, because las year has shown us in different ways the power of connectivity.”
On average, Iberia offers seven daily flights in each direction which will help facilitate travel to MWC21 in Barcelona. The special discounted rates for attendees flying with Iberia or Vueling are for travel between June 25th and July 3rd with Iberia and June 21st and July 8th for travel to Barcelona with Vueling.
